Donny Smith
Lead Guitar/Vocals/Songwriter/Program Instructor

Like the other members of the group, Donny is a qualified program instructor at Sara Elizabeth Centre. He holds a valuable position in the team with unique qualities, such as a born leader, who is open-hearted, kind and sensitive. One of his greatest talents is his ability to provide quick responses in assessing the needs of all participants. Also having worked with young adult with special needs for many years, Donny is experienced in enabling and developing the musical talents of disabled people. He understands the need for having patience and his approach has been one received with great respect, as it leaves all his students with a sense of pride and dignity. Donny has long been an advocate for independence: he teaches life skills, and encourages self-esteem, as well as facilitates games and activities with our visiting youth groups.

Donny’s receptivity and sensitivity, as well as his ability to reach out to his fellow peers are his greatest assets, and these qualities make him an indispensable member to Blue Veil Ministry.
