Join us for the After School program with extended hours now available.

 

With this expansion in services offered at the Sara Elizabeth Centre more youth aged 13 and older can now participate. Serving young adults with special needs through customized programming and instruction.

The Sara Elizabeth Centre After School program now offers extended hours, running from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

This program offers:

  • Youth with integrated age appropriate activities
  • Academic, social artistic, and recreational activities
  • Art-based programs, primarily music, drama, dance, vocal and visual arts that helps  promote stimulation, communication and self-expression.
  • Health and wellness program fosters independence and creativity while focusing on life skills.
  • Computer technology-training program that provides basic to advanced computer training for personal and educational use. The Computer Training Instructor trains young adults with disabilities to have basic computer knowledge that will assist them in communicating and connecting with their family and community.
  • Tutoring homework assistance.
  • Play time in the new indoor games room along with outdoor activities like baseball, volleyball, soccer, bocce, etc.
  • A Peace Garden planting and tending of the grounds to give our youth a sense of ownership and joy as they see the fruits of their labor with love.
